Circus on the 4th of July

Yesterday on the 4th of July Haven, the kids and I with Aunt Wendy (Haven’s Aunt) went to Barnum and Baileys Greatest show on Earth circus. Hmmm????? I don’t know if I would say it is or not…but we did have fun so here’s some photos and a video clip. The quality is not great as we were seated quite far from the ring.

After the circus we were all hungry so we had dinner at The Red Lobster. Haven enjoyed this huge drink...Haven what was it called? I forgot...

Jades Party

Haven did an awesome job setting up the party. She outdoes herself every year and gets really into the theme and cake. This year she did little cupcakes that the kids added there own toppings to, so they had a lot of fun decorating them.

I know she wants to post about this so I won’t get into all the details, but will link to her post once it’s up. For now here are a couple pics I took. Ambie was the official photographer for the event, but I am leaving those photos for Haven to use.

The Birthday balloon is out of theme but that was a gift from me to Jade when I arrived a few days early, you tapped the balloon and it actually sings “Happy Birthday”, she loved it and it drove Adrian crazy. He didn’t like hearing happy birthday 30 times a day!

Happy Birthday, Haven!

There is so much that could be said about Haven and how amazing and talented and gifted she is. But I am here to say the one thing in the world that only I am qualified to say:
She is the most amazing, caring, loving, giving and sacrificial mother any father could ever dream to have for his kids. I have the most blessed children in the world.

To all my friends and readers,

I was just over at her blog and she wants prophecies for her birthday. So if you know her or only know of her and would like to, please take a moment to send her something. I know it will help to make her year AWESOMEISIMO.

Monday Night in DF

Monday night we all hung out playing games and just fellowshipping. I lost at poker to a complete novice. But it was fun. The drinks were exceptional. Hope you enjoy these pics from the evening.

Adrian and Jade

...left his morning with Haven on their way home. We got up at 5 am and loaded the truck and then I saw them off. It has been so great spending this time with them. Please pray for their travels as they have about 1000 miles to travel before arriving home.

Visits

Tomorrow I take a bus with the kids to Mexico City to meet up with Haven, who has been at BLAST! Then they will be traveling back home with her ending their nearly 3 month visit with me. I am so thankful for this time that I have had with them. I will miss them greatly. (I am determined not to dwell on their leaving.)

The upside of this trip is that it was completely unexpected, another touch of the Lords love to me. I will have a few days there in which time I will be able to see a lot of my close friends. I will be updating and hopefully posting pics from along the way.

I am not looking forward to the iniquitous Mex City traffic and pollution. But I am looking forward to the cooler weather. Please keep our bus trip in your prayers, Thanks so much!

Two weeks and running…

So this blog has been up for two weeks now.

In the first 14 days I received:

499 unique visitors
259 first time visitors
240 returning visitors
22 different countries

I have no idea if these are good stats or not...but I found it interesting!

Thank you, Cel, Justin, Haven and Ruth for linking to me and helping to make it possible.

I hope that this site continues to be enjoyed by those of you who cross paths with mine in A Notch of Time

SafeHaven

Today Haven, along with others from her home and band, SafeHaven, are traveling to begin practicing for EurRock. from there she has plans of other trips and missions for the Lords Work! This means that I will be with the kids for the next 2 months. We are all very excited about this even though we know Haven will miss us and we will miss her.

I want to take a moment to let Haven know how much she is admired and appreciated.
Haven, I know we have been through a lot together, and it is for your never ending desire to put the Lord and His calling and leading in your life above all else that I deeply admire and respect you. You have so much to give to the young people in the Family with your gifts and participation in the area of music and your work in the JT Board. Just seeing your sample and dedication is convicting. Please know that our prayers are with you and we are hoping that even though these trips will be a lot of work that you will also have a great time enjoying yourself and the company of those your with. You truly are one of the greatest people I know. My life has been blessed to have a friend like you in it!

The pic is from karaoke last night. The whole home went out to eat, a total blast!
