Are we there yet???

I have yet to meet a kid who never had a toy car growing up. Some kids had huge collections and would play them for hours.

For me it was always frustrating when one of the wheel supports on the cars would break and the tire would be wobbly or get smashed up in the wheel well and the car would nut drive right anymore after that.

Oh the joy's of childhood when things are simple and used cars only cost about 50 cents and to fix them is usually done with just a drop of glue.

I made it safely home last night from my visa trip, despite my car falling apart on me. Yes that's right it was literally falling apart dropping pieces all over the road. The front passenger side suspension broke and starting coming apart. and the wheel was all up in m wheel well just like my cars when I was a kid.

I was about 80 km from home after already having driven over 1,400 km that day so I really wanted to get home. I drove real slow and made it the 80km in about 3 1/2 hours, getting home at 2 am in the morning.

Thank you so much for your prayers for my trip and that nothing worse happened. When I took it in to the mechanic today he was shocked that I had driven that far the way it was and said that it could only have been done with angels doing it.

(Update on the 19th of Dec: I got the truck fixed and it is working sweel agian. Sad to say it was a bit more then 50 cents or a drop of glue to get it fixed. TTL though for His supply and helping it get done.)

Day with the kids.

I arrived last night at the kids home and they were having a BBQ so I was able to snap a quick photo of the shish-kabobs before they went on the grill.

I got Jade a shirt for her birthday with a picture on it that you have to color, she loved it and wouldn't take it off after she completed coloring it.

Jade, the budding photographer took this photo of Adrian and I.

Visa Trip

Okay well I am o a visa trip right now. Two days ago in a witnessing planning meeting it was decided that my visa trip should be now rather then later on in the Christmas push since I had to have the truck out of the country by the 20th. After being stopped in Mexico City three times by corrupt cops I was very thankful to make it to the border and to my dad's place after what would normally be a 16 hr trip for me became a 28 hr trip due to the cop hassles. I am on my way to see Adrian and Jade for Jade's birthday and for their Christmas with me since I will be in Mexico this year for Christmas. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.

Why Parent's Drink

The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees was absent but had not phoned in sick one day.

Needing to have an urgent problem with one of the main computers resolved, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper. 'Hello?'

'Is your daddy home?' he asked.

'Yes,' whispered the small voice.

May I talk with him?'

The child whispered, 'No.'

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, 'Is your Mommy there?' 'Yes'

'May I talk with her?' Again the small voice whispered, 'No'

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, 'Is anybody else there?'

'Yes,' whispered the child, 'a policeman.'

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, 'May I speak with the policeman?'

'No, he's busy,' whispered the child.

'Busy doing what?'

'Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman,' came the whispered answer.

Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, 'What is that noise?'

'A helicopter' answered the whispering voice.

'What is going on there?' demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.
Again, whispering, the child answered,

'The search team just landed a helicopter'

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, 'What are they searching for?'

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...

'ME'
