400th Post

For my 400th Post I am doing one just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and have a good laugh.

A fifteen year-old boy came home with a new Chevrolet Avalanche and his parents began to yell and scream, "Where did you get that truck???!!!"He calmly told them, "I bought it today."

"With what money?" demanded his parents. They knew what a Chevrolet Avalanche cost.

"Well," said the boy, "this one cost me just fifteen dollars."So the parents began to yell even louder. "Who would sell a truck like that for fifteen dollars?" they said.

"It was the lady up the street," said the boy. I don't know her name they just moved in. She saw me ride past on my bike and asked me if I wanted to buy a Chevrolet Avalanche for fifteen dollars."

"Oh my Goodness!," moaned the mother, "she must be a child abuser. Who knows what she will do next? John, you go right up there and see what's going on." So the boy's father walked up the street to the house where the lady lived and found her out in the yard calmly planting petunias! He introduced himself as the father of the boy to whom she had sold a new Chevrolet Avalanche for fifteen dollars and demanded to know why she did it.

"Well," she said, "this morning I got a phone call from my husband. I thought he was on a Business Trip, but learned from a friend he had ran off to Hawaii with his mistress and really doesn't intend to come back. He claimed he was stranded and needed cash, and asked me to sell his new Chevrolet Avalanche and send him the money. So I did."

Thursday Thought – Tattoos

It seems that amongst Family people there is a growing trend in getting tattoos. When I was a teen I wanted to get one and my mom told me that if I could find scriptural basis for tattoos she would allow me to get one.

Me being the smart alec that I was I showed her Revelation 19:16, And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

My argument was that since it's written on Jesus thigh it must be a a tattoo, her reply to my argument was that once I became Jesus I could write on my legs too... LOL!

Well my interest in getting a tattoo as a teen died and I never got one. But over the past year or so I have been thinking about maybe getting one. I have a few ideas as to what and of course I wouldn't get one without clearing it with The Man, but was just curious what the general populace thought of it.

Some tattoos I have seen on people have not been nice or done well, others have been so cute and in just the right place to want to kiss it. However I do feel strongly that a flower, butterfly or a star are NOT for me. I guess we'll see if I end up with one in the future or not, until then...

Kisses on ink.

Birthdays I missed...

I just wanted to do a few Birthday shout outs to people I missed posting for. It's not that I didn't remember you on the day I jut haven't had Internet access lately so haven't been able to post.
But I wish the best for each of you and that you all have a great New year with wonderful blessings from friends and family.

May 16th,
Rossi Spirit, I miss seeing you at the fiesta Home but hope all is well for you in China. Rossi, you met me when I was at the worst stage of my life, when I was mean, angry, lonely and an outcast. Yet still you reached out to the person inside that was lost and you befriended me and treated me like an equal when no one else did. You will never know the extent of how your friendship and faith and trust in me helped me become who I am today. I love you and am praying for you.

Lainey, has a big heart and I have never seen or heard an unkind thing from her. Granted since she lives in Canada I haven't seen or heard her much... jk.

May 19th,
Jason Etheredge, you are a good friend and a fighter of the truest form. Keep going for God brother,

May 26th,

Thursday Thought – Sometimers Disease

I think as I am getting older I am getting "sometimers disease" where I am beginning to forget little things here and there. Is that happening to you too?

Thursday Thought – Gender

You may not know this, but many non-living things have a gender.

1) Ziploc Bags are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

2) Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.

3) A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated.

4) A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part.

5) Sponges are Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water.

6) A Web Page is Female, because it's always getting hit on.

7) A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.

8) An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.

9) A Hammer is Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.

10) A Remote Control is Female. Ha! You thought it'd be male, didn't you? But consider this - it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!

My Birthday

Yes, so today was my Birthday and I turned the big 30. I wanted to celebrate big with a huge party and lots of friends but ended up quite the opposite with a low key pretty normal day. I did bring in the year by having that amazing omelette.

Thanks to all you friends (and lovers) who sent me wishes and greetings, cards and prophecies, it was much appreciated.

Thursday Thought – Dreams Deferred

Life takes many turns and things don't always go as we like and mistakes, sometimes very big ones, are made. The hardest time to love someone is when they have made big mistakes that have hurt or cause pain to you. Often they are so discouraged about their mistakes they no longer even have hope, faith or belief in themselves anymore, this is when they need love all the more.

So don't worry about it. I love you still... Big Hug!

Grandma in Court

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?"

She responded, "Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a
youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair"

Thoughtful Thursday – The Beauty of Life...

Is that it goes on. Each fresh drop of rain brings new life and with it the hope and will to want more of it.
