That's beautiful, Gabe. I would love that hear someone I love tell me those same words and be able to say it back. But I still wonder...can two broken hearts actually make one, as they become one? I don't know if I believe that. Maybe one day.
It is beautiful... tho' like many other heartfelt sayings having to do with love, .. so much depends on WHO the other heart -- broken or not -- belongs to...
Catchy pharse and very beautiful! I do believe it is possible if meant to be. If one is willing, love can do anything. It's what we believe and strive for everyday within our Homes, and with His help, of course it's possible. Hurray for love!
Wild Flower, I do believe that if two broken hearts can beat together then they could beat as one. I am praying that you can feel it!!
Joy, I do understand what you're saying...however that particular line didn't strike me as necessarily meaning "love." Hearts can beat together in compassion, friendship, sympathy or even in a fighting attitude. When I say "fighting" here I meant teaming together to fight the enemy not each other.
In equating it to love then yes it would have to be the "right" two hearts beating together for it to truly work on a long term time frame.
But I do believe that even if two broken hearts can beat together for even a few moments the two hearts have become more whole then they were and have gained something that can be treasured.
Amber, I do agree within a home people can "beat" together when we truly do live with the best interests of others in mind.
To ALL, I think people spend too much time looking for the "right" heart to "beat" with... over time I think we lose out on something that could be right in front of us. I think we should try to be the "right" person to "beat" with those the Lord brings across our paths.

Just the thought of that makes me cry. Don't ask me why. That's almost unreal that someone could say that & mean it.
Wow! You really are a good writer. (Not meant at all in a sarcastic manner.) GBY!
...IF broken hearts could beat...
Good point, Nyx.
I really agree with you about the whole looking for the right heart thing. You say it very well!
