Okay so I have a question for you ladies out there that visit this blog.
Do you secretly like the compliments that guys give when they honk or whistle at you while walking down the street?
Okay now to clarify, because I have seen many a post on blogs of woman bashing this kind of compliment and talking to friends who say they can’t stand it when guys do that, I have made it a personal policy of mine not to compliment in that way.
The other day I whistled at one of the family women and she smiled very coyly and I got to thinking that maybe girls don’t dislike it as much as they claim to.
Now, I am not talking about the crude guy on the road verbalizing his disgusting thoughts about you. I am talking about the small honk or the little whistle and the guy keeps on going but was just taking a second to admire God’s creation.
Is there a difference or are all those types of compliments wasted?

I don't think those types of compliments are wasted AT ALL
It's just that a lot of times girls don't know exactly how to react it makes some of them slightly uncomfortable...or a little awkward as to how to respond...
So the easiest and safest way for them is to put it down and say they hate it when guys compliment them like that but in reality it's a little boost to their self-esteem when they receive any sort of compliment....
I think the hate rants are usually directed more at the truckloads of construction workers who will drive by letting you know in no uncertain terms what they think of your ass. A Family guy whistle is a COMPLETELY different story. Same for nice looking guys in the world who tastefully let you know they appreciate your looks. I have no problem with that.
Family guy attention is usually flattering. Construction worker attention not so much.
Yeh, depends entirely on who's doing the whistling.
Poor construction workers.
Here where I live they give such creative compliments, it's impossible not to laugh or smile. I think that as long as it's not threatening it's not too bad.
Family guys complimenting? Yeah, that would be nice for a change. Family guys could learn more from the construction workers, ha! And some are pretty creative.
Well, basically, unless it is crude, low and just extremely lustful, every girl likes to receive compliments. I mean, they did go through all the work to try to look pretty...

We love compliments, whether or not, we receive them well. If you go out & not one person gives you the jaw dropping looking or the whistle or something you know you need to rethink your wardrobe.

I REALLY noticed the difference when i moved from mexico to the states, as the whistles and comments stopped. i missed the attention. also, once you get older the whistles and comments stop--so enjoy them while they last!
I think its system men who should learn from Family guys how to give compliments. Family men are the best! Oh... and I love compliments!
I like me a vulgar compliment any day.
