Taxco - Rest Day

Taxco

My rest days for the past month have been plagued with question after question and home emergencies. Granted lots of people were traveling so we were a smaller home team so things just needed to be attended to. Couple that with the fact my room is a hallway, well it's not supposed to be but everyone uses it like it is, makes it hard to get solid rest sometimes. I don't mind the traffic social is better than solitaire on regular days.

So this week I needed something different. Bruni and I decided to get out of the house for the day and we went to Taxco which is about 2 hours from us. We went there in search of silver being Taxco is the silver capitol of Mexico and supposedly cheap to pick up good silver. So we made the drive, bought a silver ring, stayed out of the Home till late that night, enjoyed it immensely and I was more tired then when I began. But at least I didn't have not one thing of Home business to attend to that day, that was one of the best parts of all.

All the buildings in the city are painted white with a maroon trim, gives a nice feel to the town and it lacks the flashy colors of today's commercialism. I enjoyed it!
