HB2Y Esther
Last year for my birthday Esther, then a complete stranger to me snagged my email out of my blog profile and sent me the following Birthday greeting.
"I don't know you at all, but I know one thing: Every year of someone's is 365 days of laughter, choices, tears, joy, love, passion, quiet moments and so much more. But most of all, it's another step we take in learning to live the way the Lord always intended us to live since the day he created us, To love without fear and breathe life with passion and zeal, yet responsibility and sacrificial love. I pray that this year will be better than the ones past - not because I wish you futile moments of joy and are here today and gone tomorrow -, but that I pray that you'll listen to your heart day by day as it's tells you that it's never too late to start again and do things right, no matter how many times you might have failed."
Since that time we have communicated often and have grown to be close friends. Many of the things she wished for me were things that have been a part of my life because she is a part of it.
One thing that I want to say is in the short time I have known her one thing is ever clear to me from all our many conversations…her love for the lost! She never goes a day without speaking of her sheep, bible classes or “the person she got to witness to while out today!” She truly is an amazing example even from half a world away of being here solely for those that need her, a true example to emulate of being here for the right reason.
Esther, I am in no way finding the words I want to wish you the best year of your life. So I won’t ruin it with words. Just stay close to Jesus and be that wild and free of the spirit woman of God that you are. Everything else will work out.

What would you do?
I ran accross this story in the news just now about a woman who called th cops on herself and turned herself in and got a citation for having been driving after drinking! Would you have called 911 and taken the ticket?

I like mushrooms!
I am so thankful the Lord supplied lots of fresh mushrooms today. I like them in just about anything and can eat them raw or cooked. But my all time favorite is whole marinated mushrooms!

Thursday Thought – 30,000 Hits!
When I started this blog it was for a hobby when I was rejoining, I needed something to do! I wanted something fun and lighthearted, relaxing and enjoyable. I determined only one thing...to keep it positive. A year and a half later and last night saw this blogs 30,000th visit spread throughout 117 different countries.
Man how did a guy in a small home in the middle of nowhere get to have that kind of influence? I mean that might not be a lot for you but who am I? Just a normal disciple in a normal home in a normal field. I have no special talents or ministries, no celebrity status or "limelight gifts!" I am just an average guy!
In the past couple months I seen posts about posts I have written and how it touched your life, I have gotten comments about how I have brightened up your day and made you smile. I have seen friends use things I have said as their Skype and other chat programs quotations. I have received emails thanking me for sharing certain things. I have been asked to have some of the things I have posted used in a professors seminar in Japan. I have had post's reprinted in the Reflections.
While all those things are nice and cool, the thing that I have enjoyed the most about keeping up this blog is YOU! That's right! I have made so many good friends and met so many of you through this blog. I have been given the gift of seeing into your life and world and I have been given to chance to be a part of you through friendship and prayers.
So cheers to YOU...the reason I have this blog!

A Dream
Dreams are amazing things, all my life I have been fascinated by them. Some I had myself and some from others, I always loved hearing peoples dreams. Some people can't remember their dreams other's can't seem to forget them. Sometimes I will wake up knowing I have dreamed but they elude me and other times I wake up and can't escape it being the dream was so vivid.
Today I dreamed and I want to share it with you. I know, I know, some of you are saying "Boring, let's skip this post!" Please by all means skip it. Others of you are saying, "Finally a real peek into his psyche!" Okay have your fun and try to figure me out, at least you'll be able to make your self laugh!
I was traveling with a female partner who didn't speak the local language. I think it was Mexico since I was doing the talking and seemed to be able to communicate and understand relatively well! I got the impression we were going wittnessing or on a faith trip as she was carrying a guitar and a bag. I was carrying a beautiful baby girl about 8 months old. She was nestled in my arms sleeping so contentedly and the dream was so vivid I could fell her warm body and her little chest heaving as she breathed that contended breath of sweet slumber.
Now I don't know if the baby was mine or my partners or if there were more people with us. But we were standing on the side of the road waiting for the bus to arrive at the stop and I was communicating with the bus guy asking information about the routes we needed to take. When my partner called out to me to get my attention, I turned and saw she was pointing to something in the distance. The sun was setting and stray sunbeams flooded her lighting up her hair making it look abalze. It was magnificent and beautiful the way the light was shining into her face and she looked so at peace and happy. I will never forget the look on her face. Just as I was thinking what to say I was suddlenly jerked back to the reality that this was a dream by someone waking me up.....
Oh man I so wanted more of that dream!

Calorie Counter?
Are you running out of ways to burn those unwanted calories?
Are you bored with the traditional way of using your energy?
Do you ever wish there were new and easier ways to get rid of your unwanted fat?
Well here are a few ideas for you, along with the amount of calories they burn.

Thursday Thought – Active Noise
Have you ever noticed that in the heat of the moment good noise can be quite the aphrodisiac?
Here's an interesting article I ran across about some monkeys and noise....quite funny! Click Here to read it!

Salt and Pepper Season?
Yesterday I was talking to a friend and they have this theory that it's "salt and pepper mating season." They base this on all the mixed colored (white with anything darker) relationships that have sprung up recently. So I am curious if it's happening in your area also or if it's isolated to this field?

Thursday Thought – Birthdays
Okay so my friends keep asking me if I am going to be posting B-day post's since I haven't done them in awhile. Thing is I am getting old and have offended a few friends by forgetting to post on their birthday so I got to thinking maybe I should just quit them altogether....the post's mind you...not the friends.
But then I know some of you come here to find out whose birthday it is, so this is what I will do, I will post here sometimes and comment always on people I know who get featured on the Birthday Editor's blog. Yup, folks that's right a whole blog just for birthdays hosted by my good friend Tina. Give it a click here and check it out. Don't forget to leave nice comments for the birthday people.
