If you...

...just ask I would give it to you!! I love to give (maybe that's a pride trip) and usually have no problem giving. But when you take it without asking you're removing the opportunity for me to give. And in so doing you become a thief!

Thursday Thought – Thanksgiving
So I am not going to post a bunch of thoughts about Thanksgiving...I know, I know the title was supposed to fool you. If you want what I think about Thanksgiving click here for my post about it last year.
What I will say is that we had an awesome time of fellowship with Josue and Trust's home in Brownsville. Trust and helpers made an awesome dinner. Traditionally Thanksgiving is when immediate family and relatives get together, but our dinner was a cross mix of nationalities and 6 different families but the spirit of The Family was high and if felt like being home.
I will leave you with some random photos of the evening taken with several different cameras.

Beer and Butter Recipe

Okay so tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am going to post a recipe here for anyone who wants to use it for their turkey or whatever kind of poultry you want to try it on. Some have claimed it to be "the best poultry marinade ever!"
Beer and Butter Poultry Injection
Use this marinade to reach deep into the meat of poultry, especially turkey to deliver loads of flavor before you cook. Make sure the mixture is warm to keep the butter liquid.
Ingredients:
½ pound butter
½ can beer
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons Tabasco
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
Preparation:
Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir and heat until salt is dissolved and the sauce is even and runny. Keep warm (but not hot) to inject into poultry.
Thanks Trust for the recipe and being so kind to have us for Thanksgiving.

Claifornia to Texas
Wow, after several days of paper work delays everything came together in a series of miracles to get the shipment of stuff released from Customs and the warehouse storage. So now Phillip and I are driving back to Texas from California. Please pray for our 24 hour trip that all goes well that we have no problems and for safe keeping.
Thanks so much to Ira and Esther for lending the truck for this trip. Sorry for any inconveniences our delays may have caused.
Thanks so much to Mark and Mary for putting us up while we were here. It was cool seeing them again after nearly 15 years. I even got to scan some old photos she had of my and my brothers preforming in Christmas shows way back then.... I had a good laugh at myself...
Also thanks to the Activated home for being so accommodating in helping us get the order for my home. Love you guys and it was great seeing you guys again after so many years.

Thursday Thought – Come What May

Come What May -Artist: Ewan MacGregor
Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I'm loving you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time
Chorus:
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste
It all revolves around you
And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you until the end of time
Chorus
Oh, come what may, come what may
I will love you, I will love you
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I'm loving you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time
Chorus:
Come what may

It all revolves around you
And there's no mountain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you until the end of time
Chorus
Oh, come what may, come what may
I will love you, I will love you
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

Hiking Turtle Rock
Today I had an awesome hike near Turtle Rock in Irvine California. I haven't had good exercise in my travels so when dear Mary (our gracious host with whom I am staying) told me she was going on a hike with her hiking club I asked if I could tag along, it was so worth it. I was able to meet some great people and have some good conversations along with great heart pumping exercise. So for the details of the hike and lots of photos click here. I added a few here in case you don't click here.

So far from home....
Someone told me once that they get bored reading posts about people's travels. If that is the case and my recent travel posts have bored you then go ahead and skip this post as I am traveling again.
I was headed home to Mexico when I got a request from another home in Mexico if I would help them make a trip to San Diego California to get a load of stuff for their home. After praying about it the Lord indicated I should. So here I am in San Diego Cal, in a hotel room right on the Mexican border, I am looking out the window and I see the Mexican flag and Tijuana is across the bridge. Mexico is oh so close, but I am still oh so far from home...don't worry guys I will come back.

Oh, Mexico!
It sounds so simple; I just got to go.
The sun's so hot, I forgot to go home,
Guess I'll have to go now!
Americano got the sleepy eye,
But his body's still shaking like a live wire.
Sleepy señorita with the eyes on fire.
Oh, Mexico!
It sounds so sweet, with the sun sinking low.
Moon's so bright, like to light up the night;
Make everything all right.

Thursday Thought – Would you.....?
I recently saw this on a friends Skype as their quote,
If you saw me barely able to crawl, would you carry me on your shoulders? Would you let me fly on your wings? Would you be the angel in my world?
Even though I have never met this person I wanted to tell them "Yes! Absolutely without a doubt!" Often in the family we are there for the person that needs the shoulder to cry or stand on, we try to help them fly and wish we could be the angel in their world. But it is sometimes oh so hard to accept...
So my question for you is...
If I saw you barely able to crawl, would you let me carry you on my shoulders? Would you accept my wings to fly on? Would you allow me the honor of being the angel in your world?

Sea World with Adrian and Jade
Today the kids and I went to Sea World. We had a blast, saw some shows and rode some rides and toured the aquariums and animal exhibits. Here are the visuals.
Adrian riding the "Rio Loco" Jade was too small for this ride so Adrian found a couple of nice ladies to team up with and take him on the ride. He's such a charmer!

Texas - Backroads and Critters

In the past weeks of being on the road and fundraising I have criss-crossed Texas from each end to the other, north to south, east to west and some mixed up directions in between. I have always loved driving and the open road and with the wide open spaces of Texas that is easily done. I had the opportunity to travel some on the "roads less traveled" as some of the cities I went to are not on the Interstate. It made for some interesting road signs that you don't normally see.

Along with the variety of the roads and their signs the wildlife and critters you encounter are also different then your every day run away dog or stuck in the tree cat! So I will leave you with some sights of them I have seen in the past couple weeks.
